Some time back I wrote a post on friendship and community. The comments and feedback were wonderful and warm. Many of you ladies had alot to say about what we share here and how it is an outlet the has created more in your life. Our art and desire to create are what binds us here. I really felt sad when Lisa Gordon announced she would be resigning from her web site to continue with some personal life activities. I understood, but I was sad and felt that Mondays would be a little blue without the Creative Exchange to gather and share. I guess it is the nature of life. We grow, and pursue and move toward the next thing along our paths, and so it goes. I have found it most important to stay on schedule lately with everything that is going on right now here at home. It seems life is speeding as the weather gets warmer and there is always more to do. Boy, do I understand, Lisa! I have made a committment to dedicate a certain amount of hours to editing and posting here on my blog. Lately, my time is consumed with work, rehabbing a house, getting a house ready to sell, and some traveling. Am I doing everything I dream of doing? No, but I address what life lays along my path and it works just fine for me. By the way, the end of the month is my giveaway. I posted here about it. I have a linky thru the end of this week. More info here. I would love for you to join us. If you love vintage, iphonography, instant film, as long as you create the art, you are welcome. Happy Tuesday ladies. Embrace today and all it brings. Joining Texture Tuesday, Sweet Shot Tuesday, Show Off Your Shot, Tones on Tuesday, Project Alicia, Live and Love Out Loud. Photo edited in PSE and photoscape. Welcome to Everyday Moments
We are working around here with renovations so we are homebound for the next couple of weeks. It will be great when we are done and free to play on the weekends for awhile. |
I do love how these glasses capture the light and shadows. |
I decided to splurge and get these adorable juice glasses, too. They are from Anthro and I think I will keep them forever. At least until the girls claim them as their own :-) This first link is for your everyday moments in your life. What is happening with you everyday? What sets the rhythm in your life right now? Are you proud of your cooking, of your home? Share some moments you had with your family this week. I added just a touch of some vintage colors in green and red tones. I use Photoscape which has quite a few built in actions that make for easy creations, but we'll chat about that another time! (This link will remain open thru Saturday, March 31st.) Scavenger Hunts, Daybook Notes and Reflections
Quote- Mary Oliver is one of my favorite poets. Her words have soul and life to them. |
Natures Own- This was taken with my pudding camera app. These were some mighty big clouds forming, I am still amazed by the sky and clouds. |
Choice- a small moment at the Sweet Family farmhouse where I am photographing my last series of pictures before it is torn down. This was an afternoon picture. The house was dark and quiet and Maddie obliged for this shot. It is one of my favorites. * * * For Today * * * Outside my window the rain is gently laying a mist on the grass. I am thinking about spring activites and plans for summer getaways. I am thankful for the quiet here in this space I occupy at this moment. In the kitchen a cat sits in the windowsill watching the rain and listening to a bird sing. I am wearing my most comfortable pair of lounge pants because I have been tending to a little spring cleaning all morning. I am creating a new link up party here where we all can gather and share our art. I am going to look for some of our Missouri mushrooms very soon as the warm weather came very early this year and we have many edible varieties. (Yes I use a handbook, always for mushroom hunting) I am wondering what kind of summer weather we will have. I am reading" The Help". I have seen the movie and wanted to read the story in detail. I am hoping to have my house on the market in a month. I am looking forward to settling with B♥, for a slower pace, and more time for my photography. I am learning the art of faith all over again. Around the house there are telltale signs of upheaval. Boxes packed, cabinets slowly emptying. I am pondering about my career as a full time nurse. I feel a need for change lately, as in less hours in nursing and more time with home and family. A fave quote for today, “But I also say this: that light is an invitation to happiness, and that happiness, when it's done right, is a kind of holiness, palpable and redemptive. ” ― Mary Oliver One of my favorite things is my early morning quiet when everyone is sleeping and I can sit and listen to them sleep and turn in their beds. A few plans for the rest of the week: a new treadmill, painting a bathroom, cooking some new organic meals. A peek into my day: Our little morning moment. What do you think guys? I announced my giveaway here. It will be open until the end of this month. Leave a comment, tell a story, maybe win! Magic Moments
There are memories to go with this picture. I told the story here. It is a story from my childhood, a story of those moments as a child when everything is new and undiscovered. Moments we experienced as children. This photo is part of a last series of photos and story of a farmhouse that once was. a story of recollection, remembering and the beauty of everyday life. |
I found this lovely little necklace not very long ago. |

God in a Flower
The daffodils bloomed at the farm last weekend. Sometimes I feel guilty picking them, but I succomb to their beauty. They bring the feeling of spring, and growth and warmth. |
They fill many places in my home with their unexpected details. I am looking forward to their bright colors and smells that fill the air. I had the lovely ole' stomach flu that has been circulating around here. All weekend indoors and feeling kinda tired and sluggish while I recoup. Hope this Monday finds you in good health. Man loved the flowers and invented vases." ~ Jacques Deval Joining The Creative Exchange, Earth Wonders, Show Off Your Shot, Mellow Yellow Monday, Quotography {spiritual}, Your Sunday Best, The Simple Things |
