I am always hunting for cameras. I found this little gem not too long ago in a thrift shop. I decided to give this one away. Nice for a collection, or to use. Visit here for a little history of this piece. Such a big part of history, I am sad that this era has ended. Read more here on The Kodak Years. I will miss these years. If you would like this brownie lovely, leave a message telling what photography means to you. I will announce the winner the day after Thanksgiving. I will leave you with this. How sweet!!
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's capturing moments.
It's my therapy.
I see the world in pictures.
xo
How generous of you with your wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm a writer and used to seeing the world through words and of course, mind images but have been working on photography for the past several years. It is an entirely different medium to frame the world and I love experiencing the uniqueness of working with different cameras as they, like our eyes, create individual perspectives. I love that I'm constantly learning through the photographic process and hunger for each moment I can pick up my camera and capture a moment.
WOWERS I actually have been hunting for an antiquish (is that a word) camera for the past month I had wanted one before my birthday rolled around but didn't happen (it was yesterday) so the search continues. For me the reason I love photography is because of my children I don't have hardly any of my childhood or family for that matter so I try to daily capture our lives and have stories behind the image not just random shots so when I am gone these will stand for them & they will be able to pass it on to their children and so on. For me photography means I can freeze a moment so it can be relived whenever it is shared.
ReplyDeleteI love the little brownie. Photography has always been a part of my life but the last two years I have really enjoyed it. I start seeing scenes and see the picture. I feel lost if I don't have my camera with me. It goes with me on walks, bike rides and horse back riding.
ReplyDeleteVicky -- this is very generous.
ReplyDeletePhotography allows me to express myself out here in the sticks -- not many people out here, so I have to entertain myself with my camera. :)
Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. xoxo
Lovely! Thanks so much for the chance ;)
ReplyDeleteFor me, not only is photography a therapeutic way to create...but with these older film cameras it offers a sense of inspiration post processing.
PS-plus, without a photo, I barely remember anything!
Have a good day!
Oh my... that is a treasure you are sharing!
ReplyDeleteTo me, photography is a way of freezing a moment, a face expression, a beautiful sight I want to remember and share. Above all, I want to capture what I'm feeling at the moment. Those captured moments are eternal.
